TUFF receives a staggering number of submissions!

The Toronto Urban Film Festival received a remarkable 242 submissions this year, coming in from across North America, as well as from Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Spain and Japan. Finalists will be announced in early August. This year's jurors are Richard Fung (Urban Growth), Judy Gladstone (Urban Encounters), Michelle Jacques (Urban Secrets), Deirdre Logue (Urban Imaginary), Brenda Longfellow (Urban Natural), Robert Ouellette (Urban Travels) and Jason St-Laurent (Urban Fears).

Trinity Square Video Pitch Award Winners

The seven winners of the TUFF 2008 Trinity Square Video Pitch Award are: Jeremy Bailey; Anna-Lea Boeki; Rachel Conduit; Kim Derko and Su Rynard; Brendon Foster-Algoo; Nick Fox-Gieg and Nicole Stamp; and HodgsonMoffat Productions. Each is being awarded $600 of in-kind support from TSV. These films will debut at the festival in September.

First Place Prize Announced!

BelAirTravel.com will be sponsoring the prize for TUFF's first place film again this year. The first place recipient will receive a trip for two to Aruba.
