TUFF films are selected by a guest jury. The jury is also responsible for selecting many of the TUFF awards each year. Finally, the top awards of the festival are chosen by a special guest judge.

TUFF 2015: LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Midi Onodera, Toronto, Canada

Midi Onodera is an award-winning filmmaker who has been making films and videos for over 30 years. She has 25+ independent short films to her credit as well as a theatrical feature film and an abundance of short videos. Beginning in 2006, Midi created almost 500 short videos for various projects, 15 of which we have been able to share with commuters over the past nine years of the festival. We recognize her contribution to TUFF and the art of ultra-short filmmaking.
